Fine Arts classrooms are naturally rich with creativity, complexity, and skill—but not all artistic rigor reflects the same level of student thinking. This Lunch & Learn helps Fine Arts educators determine how DOK shows up authentically in music, visual art, theatre, and dance, and why high-quality performance does not always equal deeper thinking. Through concrete Fine Arts examples and a guided task-tuning activity, educators will analyze an existing instructional task and make intentional adjustments that elevate student reasoning, interpretation, and reflection without sacrificing artistic integrity.
