About this event
The Challenge: We’ve all been in meetings where the data is solid and the report is beautiful, yet everyone leaves asking, “So... now what?” This session is designed to bridge that gap between "interesting findings" and actual organizational movement.
What We’ll Explore: Evaluation is more than just data collection, it’s about facilitating learning that leads to action. We will dive into two critical (but often invisible) evaluator capacities:
- Sensemaking: The collaborative work of interpreting data to create collective meaning.
- Sensegiving: The intentional work of shaping and sharing that meaning to help teams align and act.
Learning Objectives:
- Explain sensemaking and sensegiving and their connection to organizational learning and action.
- Identify common points where evaluation insights fail to translate into use
- Apply practical structures that strengthen shared understanding and support forward movement
Why attend? Rather than adding another framework to your plate, this session focuses on building interpretation and meaning-making directly into your existing systems to ensure learning actually goes somewhere.
