About this event

Shelley, Leah and Mary-Lee will facilitate an interactive discussion on real or perceived conflicts of interest (COI). We begin with an overview of the Code of Conduct Policy and the MRU-MRFA Collective Agreement, then move into more specific conflicts in the classroom and conflicts on committees. We will use a variety of scenarios to unpack the complexities of COIs. The intention is to walk away from this conversation with an increased recognition about what constitutes a COI, how to navigate conversations about COIs, and strategies to use when faced with a potential COI.

Facilitators:

Shelley Rathie, Associate Vice-President, Faculty Relations

Leah Hamilton, Vice-Dean, Research and Community Relations, Faculty of Business, Communication Studies, and Aviation

Mary-Lee Mulholland, Chair, Sociology & Anthropology, Faculty of Arts
